⦾ Windows 10 mainstream support officially ended on October 14, 2025. For the first time in its history, Microsoft is offering users a free year of Extended Security Updates, until October 14, 2026. We can make sure you’re opted in to ESU to help ensure that your device is secure. We can also upgrade your computer to Linux Mint, the free operating system that keeps older hardware running like new, and offers security on par with Apple Mac!

Apple Mac Computers

⦿ Purchasing and migrating your data to a new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Studio, or Mac Pro.
⦿ Upgrading your older unsupported Mac to a currently supported version of macOS, like Sonoma, Sequoia, or Tahoe. OCLP (Open Core Legacy Patcher) is a free open-source tool that can upgrade your legacy Mac to an official macOS version with current support. With Tahoe being the last version of macOS that supports Intel chips, you can use OCLP to keep your legacy Mac running with the most current updates from Apple until summer of 2028.

Antivirus security, and virus & malware removal.

We recommend Eset, a very lean antivirus program that was originally targeted at gamers, and continues to focus on maximum performance in high-risk situations with minimal resource usage. The company is owned by its engineers with no debt; they’ve committed to never taking on debt and never going public. So they are fully beholden to their customers’ interests, rather than the stock market or VC funds. In December 2025, Eset once again earned awards from Av-test.org for the Top Corporate Product and Top Consumer Product for Windows 11, and achieved AV-Test Certified status with near-perfect detection rates on macOS Sequoia. We can also help you pare down expensive subscriptions from companies like Norton and McAfee, to ensure you’re only paying for what you need.

Password Managers

Secure your important logins, and access them on all your devices. We recommend Bitwarden, an open-source password manager which has never had a data breach of its servers. We can also help with other password managers, such as 1Password, Dashlane, Keeper, NordPass, and Proton Pass. Two-factor Authentication (2FA) Authenticators

Two-step authentication codes sent via text message are not secure. The first SMS text mesage was sent in 1992, well before important aspects of our lives depended securely accessing websites and apps. We recommend 2FA with Ente Auth, an open-source authenticator app that works on all your devices, including: Windows, Mac, and Linux computers; in your web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Vivaldi, or Brave); and, of course on iPhone / iPad and Google Android mobile devices. Unlike proprietary solutions (such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, and Authy) that can tether your codes to a single device and won’t let you export them to another platform, Ente offers you total control of your own data.
